Our accommodation

Discover our range of accommodation options at Rum Bunkhouse, including cosy 4-bed and 6-bed dormitories, comfortable private twin rooms, and unique outdoor eco cabins. Each room is designed to provide a relaxing and memorable stay for our guests.

Staying in the Bunkhouse comes with access to all of the Bunkhouse amenities. Our two kitchens, each fully equipped with fridge, cookers/ovens, toasters, microwave and cooking equipment and crockery and with enough space for large or multiple groups to prepare their meals.
There are five toilets and six showers, separate male & female facilities and disabled access too.
On top of all this we also sell Isle of Rum Merchandise to take a little piece of our beautiful island with you!
Guests also have access to the drying room and if you are staying with us for more than a weeks there are laundry facilities available too.
Excellent WI-FI connection is available.

If you choose to stay in our cabins or on our campsite, you'll delight in the more off-grid experience. You'll have access to our outdoor barbecues, outdoor showers and toilets. You'll have to bring sleeping bags for your stay. Dogs are more than welcome in our cabins and campsite.

Private twin room

If you fancy a bit of privacy within the Bunkhouse, choose our twin room. Two comfortable beds, reading lights and USB chargers, and a private sink are available.

Booking in the Bunkhouse gives you full access to all the amenities, including showers, newly refurbished kitchen and living space, as well as our drying room. All bed linens are provided, but guests are asked to bring their own towel.

Shared dorms

If you're travelling as part of a group, or don't mind bunking with fellow travellers, we have several mixed dorm options. There are 3 rooms that can sleep up to four people, and 1 large room which can accommodate up to six people. Each bed has a reading light and a USB charging port.

Whole bunkhouse

We're so fortunate that hiking groups and large parties choose to stay with us - and we have the option to book the full bunkhouse for your stay.

It includes full, exclusive use of the bunkhouse, including all bedrooms (cabins not included), both kitchens, the drying facilities and living space.

It's perfect for mountaineering or nature groups, groups of friends who fancy some fresh air and privacy, or educational groups.

Outdoor eco cabins

We offer two camping cabins as part of our ‘glamping’ option. The cabins look over the beautiful Loch Scresort and offer a quiet haven for up to 4 people each.

Each cabin has four single mattresses, 2 plug sockets, 2 USB chargers, a plug-in heater, an electric travel kettle, and 4 hot and cold cups, along with a foldable camping table. A free communal BBQ and indoor shelter are available on-site.

Please note, if you are staying in our cabins, that bedding is not provided, and so bookers are asked to bring their own sleeping bags or alternative.

Booking our cabins gives you access to our shared outdoor toilets and showers. It's the perfect chance to switch off and enjoy some peace and quiet. Dogs are allowed.
